Some Ataman BP17 and AP16 airguns will have trouble with magazines not fitting correctly out of the box. To help explain this Ataman has provided the following documentation:
AP16 / BP17 MAGAZINE ADJUSTMENT
Dear Shooters,
Thank you for using our products. As you may know, the design of AP16 air pistol and BP17 allows them to use interchangeable magazines. Each ATAMAN gun is carefully inspected before being shipped to our dealers, and the reliable operation of the magazines is no exception.
However, some magazines from different production batches may not fit your AP16 pistol or BP17 rifle. To ensure the proper fit for your gun, a magazine might need slight adjustment with a tool included in your AP16/BP17 package.
- If the magazine doesn't fit into the slot, use the tool to slightly rotate the magazine axis clockwise as shown on the picture until the magazine fits properly.
- If the magazine is too loose in the slot, use the tool to slightly rotate the magazine axis counterclockwise as shown on the picture until the magazine fits properly.
You will only need to adjust your magazine once for the gun you are using it with. If you are using your magazines between two guns, adjustment between guns may be required.
